Chapter 135 No Winners

As Chau Zhimen and Alchemist Ren prayed to heaven that the fault lies in the other, Jiang Ming was busy calculating in his mind.

\'What a damn blunder?\' He cursed silently. \'These two faggots actually produced a good result. Now how am I supposed to explain that the flawless recovery pill was consumed by me already?\'

He had consumed the pill due to the smack from Qi Shan, and there was no backup pill. Hence, he couldn\'t announce a winner even though it was clear who had won.

\'Chau Zhimen might have refined a 99% purity, but the quantity was far from catching up with Little Ren\'s quantity. Thus, Little Ren should be the winner, but I don\'t have the pill.\' Jiang Ming rubbed his chin, seemingly in deep thought.

Meanwhile, his complexion was mistakenly misinterpreted by both Alchemist Ren and Chau Zhimen.

\'Is the result really that close that even the Master is having a hard time determining a winner?\' Alchemist Ren wondered silently.

\'I refined a 99% purity whereas Master only refined a 98% purity. The Grandmaster wouldn\'t really take quantity as the final calculation right?\' Chau Zhimen thought.

"Hey, Hong Ling, who do you think Jiang Ming will choose as the winner?" Chau Heung tugged on her sleeve slightly and asked in a low tone.

Hong Ling shrugged her shoulders in response. "I don\'t know either, Chau Heung. The Young Master is simply way too unpredictable for me to accurately predict his action."

"Not even you can\'t determine his action? That\'s surprising coming from you, Hong Ling."

"Heh, tell me about it. The first time we met, I thought the Young Master was just an ignorant and arrogant kid who hadn\'t finished his milk. But I was proven wrong in the worst way possible." Hong Ling sighed in defeat. Just recalling their first interaction made her want to smack her old self to no end.

How could she be so short-sighted in the past?

Chau Heung was confused by her words, so Hong Ling used this time to explain her first encounter with Jiang Ming.

After a few blah blah blah goes by, Chau Heung held a shocked expression.

"Holy moly, you actually said that?" She asked in disbelief.

"I know, I still regret it to this day." Hong Ling replied honestly. "Luckily, I\'m a woman and not a man. Otherwise, I\'m sure my corpse might be laying waste somewhere in the open."

Chau Heung nodded her head. "I can imagine that…"

Sometime later, Jiang Ming finally figured out a solution to his dilemma.

He clasped his hand together and held a fierce glint in his eyes. "Since the two of you failed to achieve the flawless result I was hoping for. Therefore, there shall be no winners in this competition."

"..."

Silence, that was the only word to describe the current atmosphere.

Both Alchemist Ren and Chau Zhimen glanced at each other with a dumbfounded expression. Clearly, they weren\'t expecting such a result either in their mind.

The same goes for Chau Heung and Hong Ling as their mouths were wide open.

"A-As expected of the Young Master… always unpredictable." Hong Ling stutteringly said.

While everyone was still in shock, Jiang Ming casually stored all the pill bottles in his inventory and waved his hand.

"Anyway, practice well when I\'m gone. Don\'t disappoint me the next time I come to visit." He said, walking out of the refinement room like a chad man.

By the time the people in the room realized Jiang Ming had walked away, it was already too late for them to ask for a clarification.

"Master is so cruel… I worked so hard on those pills and in the end, it doesn\'t even matter." Alchemist Ren felt like crying as he curled his body around, almost like a koala hugging a small tree branch.

"Grandmaster is so unruly and doesn\'t even honor his words." Chau Zhimen started wailing like an injured little boy.

Hong Ling and Chau Heung gazed at each other in disbelief.

Were these two really the alchemists that managed to refine a high purity pill that no other alchemists had done in the Northern Continent?

If they were to say that to someone else, then others would definitely laugh at them or even ask if they were out of their damn mind.

Hong Ling facepalmed as she patted Chau Heung\'s shoulder. "I\'m leaving, Chau Heung. I can\'t stand the sight of these two men acting like a baby."

"W-Wait for me. I don\'t know these two as well." Chau Heung hurriedly said and chased after Hong Ling.

After leaving the refinement room, Hong Ling and Chau Heung took a seat on the bench, panting heavily.

"Sigh, I want to erase those two crybabies from my memory." Hong Ling said depressingly. "I can\'t believe there will ever be a day when Alchemist Ren would behave no different than a little kid."

"I know right… only Jiang Ming could possibly tame a dignified Alchemist Ren like that." Chau Heung added.

"I agree, only Jiang Ming could do it."

"Haaa finally a breath of fresh air," Jiang Ming exclaimed in joy as he stood above a rooftop, surveilling the entire city. His spiritual perception spread all across the city, hoping to find some suspicious activity from the 6 powerful clans.

Alas, it was futile since the 6 powerful clans were well-prepared for everything. Not an ounce of suspicion could be spotted despite the help of the GLCS.

\'Sigh, sometimes, I really wish my enemies had the brain cells of an arrogant young master. That way, everything would be much simpler and easier than now.\' Jiang Ming thought. Having intelligent enemies was never a fun thing to deal with.

In fact, it was a gruesome and tiresome activity to plot and counter-scheme them.

"This is one terrible transmigration." Jiang Ming said in a depressed tone. "Why are all the other protagonists enjoying no-brainer enemies whereas I\'m stuck with smarties."

Feeling extremely distressed, Jiang Ming decided to spend the next few hours cuddling with his aunt to enjoy life.
