Chapter 322 Two Shifters, One Body
Zone 1R was in a state of chaos as Lee Seng desperately avoided the hits from the two Shifters in the back. They were identical to each other and whipped attacks at him as the Goblins swarmed him.
Lee Seng slashed gravity strikes at the goblins, clearing them out like nothing. He bounced around the room, avoiding the holes and avoiding the attacks from the identical female Shifters.
"Have you seen a Fox this swift, sister?" The female Shifter on the left asked. She had a curvy line going through her right eye while her sister had a curvy line going through her left eye, down to her cheek.
"No, I don\'t, sister. Let us take the Fox to Master. Maybe he\'ll know what to do with him." The right Shifter spoke. "A, let us pick up the pace, shall we?"
"Let us do that, B." A responded. The two small Shifters shook the earth as it resonated loudly. Rows of spikes flew out in opposite directions. The identical female Shifters were top notch versus the other female Shifter.
\'Shit, they\'re gonna crash into you!\' Keng told him. \'Let me out! I can help you!\'
\'No, you can\'t! The glasses!\' Lee Seng threw his hands out in opposite directions, releasing a gravity bubble. He watched the spikes slow to a stop. A and B were already running towards him, hand in hand. A spun B and tossed her towards Lee Seng\'s bubble. B released a pulse of energy right before she impacted with the bubble, destroying it in an instant.
\'How the hell did she do that?!?\' Keng asked. The spikes continued to rush at him as B flew at him, sending a kick straight for him. Lee Seng blocked the attack, stomping the ground and sending a pulsewave outwards. He shattered the spikes in an instant as he pushed B backwards.
A flew in and barraged him with attacks. She was quicker than the other sister. She didn\'t punch him, but jabbed at him. Lee Seng dodged, feeling her hand slice him as it passed.
\'She has sharp fingers.\' Lee Seng noticed. He retaliated back with attacks of his own. A did well to block and dodge his attacks. B moved forward, the earth moving around her as she fired off ranged attacks at Lee Seng. Lee Seng\'s tail extended outwards, smashing the ranged attacks as he forced A away.
"It seems he is well acquainted with his body, sister. What shall we do?" A looked at B.
"The Goblins were a waste of time." B sighed. "He told us to use them well, but they ended up chasing each other. Shall we resort to that?"
"You two really talk a lot, don\'t you?" Lee Seng straightened his back out. He twirled the katana in his left hand and shook his head. "I guess chopping a female Shifter\'s head off didn\'t scare you away, huh?"
"Oh, you were the one who cut her head off?" B asked. The earth ripped up around her and A, spinning slowly around them.
"No wonder why they said to watch out for the Foxes." A commented.
"What\'re they talking about?" Marcus asked.
"Watch out for the Foxes? There\'s more than one of me? If I remember right, there\'s only me." Lee Seng told them.
"You lie. The others have seen your kind. They blend in better than you do. You expose your kind." B frowned in disappointment.
"What\'re they talking about, Lee Seng?" Marcus asked. Lee Seng sighed and shook his head.
"You don\'t know what you\'re talking about." Lee Seng dashed forward, golden aura sweeping around him as he threw his hand outwards. Gravity ripped the earth in front of him as A and B raised their opposite hands to shield them. The earth wall crumbled. A and B were nowhere to be seen.
\'Where\'d you go?\' Lee Seng wondered. The gravity pulse echoed around. A single ping appeared behind him. He spun around, only to be met with a tall woman with two curvy marks. One on the left and right. \'Oh, shit.\'
The fused A and B swung, blowing the air out of Lee Seng\'s lungs. She quickly pummeled him with attacks. The fused twins pummeled Lee Seng, sending strikes with a mix of earth in between.
"Resonance Strike." AB spoke. Her palm hit his chest, sending his body flying as spirit began to shake.
\'Fuck, what did they do to me?\' Lee Seng wondered. AB landed. Their clothes tinier in their combined form.
"It\'s a shame." AB spoke. "Maybe we should\'ve played around and let you think you had the advantage earlier. No matter, he will definitely want to see you." AB raised their hands and entombed Lee Seng. Lee Seng felt his spirit fly back into his body. The light from his glasses. He grunted as he screamed, shattering the earth.
He jumped up, looking at AB as they gave him a curious look.
"You wanna play?" Dark Matter poured out of his body. AB stared at him, watching closely. Lee Seng pulled his backpack, setting it down as the skintight suit formed around him. "Let\'s play." Lee Seng pulled the glasses off and tossed them, shattering them in an instant.
"Update!" Tiffi\'s voice broke over their comms. "I\'ve lost connection with Lee Seng!"
"What happened?" Victoria asked. "Didn\'t you have eyes on him? Wasn\'t he doing fine?"
"Something happened! The two female Shift–" Lee Seng twisted the ring off. He needed to focus on the fight, not the others.
"Oh, he\'s getting serious." AB chuckled. "What shall we do, then?" Lee Seng raised his head, wiping the hair away from his face.
"You should be scared." Lee Seng told them.
"Scared? Of what?" AB asked. Lee Seng flashed from his spot. He swung forward, AB blocking the attack with ease. "There really isn\'t much of a difference." AB retaliated with attacks of her own. Lee Seng easily blocked them, tendrils releasing from his suit and attacking AB. AB easily met each strike with another strike. She fought unimpressed. Lee Seng grunted as he sent a gravity pulse forward, moving backwards.
"Can I come out now?" Keng\'s voice loudly asked.
"Fine." Lee Seng spoke. "Do it." He felt his body split, Keng moving out and landing in his garb.
"Are you sure the others won\'t find out?" Keng asked.
"I put a barrier up on the wall anyways. Let\'s go." Lee Seng sprinted forward. Keng\'s body shimmered in silver light. The two attacked AB. A and B split, quickly blocking the attacks of two identical boys.
"It looks like you are the same as us." B responded as she dodged Keng\'s fiery claw attacks.
"Fire." A warned her sister.
"That element does nothing to us, anyways."
Lee Seng and Keng barraged them with attacks. Flames spilling forth as A and B split them apart.
B dodged Keng\'s swipes. His fighting style was way different than the other Fox. She found it amusing that two Foxes existed within each other. She wanted to ask questions, but knew it was futile.
"Ignition Horizon!" Keng slashed in an X, flames flying outwards as B raised an earth wall. The impact exploded, sending her flying backwards in the air. She flipped and slid backwards wiping the dirt off of her face.
"Let\'s not waste anymore time." B told her sister. "Bind and let\'s do what we were told."
\'What do they mean by that?\' Lee Seng thought. A and B sprinted at each other. Lee Seng and Keng sent out gravity blasts, attempting to block them from pairing, again. A and B reacted like they had already knew Keng and Lee Seng would react like this. A and B turned, striking the air.
The gravity attacks fizzled out and A and B continued to run into each other.
The two grabbed each other\'s hands and grew larger. The tall Shifter woman stood in their place, hand on her hip as she shook her head.
"I wish we could play with you more, Foxes." AB smiled. She raised her hands, the earth beginning to shake. "We must cut you off from them and you did us a service by breaking it. Goodbye, Foxes. Maybe we\'ll see each other again." The ground exploded, Keng and Lee Seng falling. A large slab of earth appeared above them as the ground behind them grabbed them, pulling them downwards.
"Ahhh!" Lee Seng and Keng shouted. Lee Seng and Keng suspended themselves with gravity bubbles, tearing the earth behind them as the ceiling above them flew straight for them. The familiar feeling of disruption flew through Lee Seng and Keng\'s body. Keng dissolved, pulling back into Lee Seng\'s body as Lee Seng\'s spirit disconnected.
\'What the–\'
