Chapter 266 - Underestimating The Pretty Faced Young Master Playing A Pirate King

So, let\'s talk about this villain named Dong Jie that just fearlessly rocked up on Red Bane without notice or previous entanglements. This man wearing robes as bright as neon lights was one of the few half Nocru hired to do tasks people would normally refuse.

This included kidnappings, assassinations and any other morally wrong tasks you can think of. The reason he was successful at what he does was because of his cunning nature and his sister\'s exceptional skill set.

When they conducted a prison break job such as this they used a similar strategy. He would serve as the distraction while his sister acquired the target. But the first thing to do would be to draw everyone\'s attention towards him.

This is why he froze Xunshi Zhe before dropping the anchor drawing everyone\'s attention. The effect was only temporary but it was enough time for his accomplice to get Qilin Kai out.

One might ask if he knew who he was offending by taking on this job. Yes, he knew who it was and the consequences but the reward for such a task was enough to set him and his sister for life. They could retire early.

To him, it was worth the risk considering the true Pirate king wasn\'t pulling the strings anymore replaced by his introverted son. One couldn\'t blame him for underestimating Ji Yao. Ji Wen was always the one running the show and to outsiders, he was a force to be reckoned with while Ji Yao was rarely seen.

It was said that he was a pompous young master who preferred playing with ink and brush like a renowned scholar who did nothing but draw all day and read books. His character was nothing like a Pirate let alone a Pirate King. It was such misconceptions that made him brazen enough to accept Emperor Rui\'s offer.

Once he saw this pampered young master everyone talked about he thought those rumours were unfounded. His aura when he stepped out of the cabin was unnerving with an overbearing air around him. But his good impression of him dropped significantly when he saw him openly flirt with a youth slightly taller than himself.

It seemed that Ji Yao wasn\'t only a handsome face that prefered the pen over the sword but he was also a shameless cut sleeve who flirted publicly disregarding other people\'s personal feelings.

At this moment he couldn\'t help but feel it was a waste for Ji Yao to inherit the Concord. How can a highly revered powerful group of men and women be led by this useless waste? Dong Jie couldn\'t accept it.

Thus he decided that today he was going to attack Ji Yao even if he could only freeze his crew members for a couple of minutes. It was time he prove to these people that Ji Yao wasn\'t a worthy leader, a man not worth following.

With his legs curled up, he leapt into the air and his eyes flashed a white luminous light as he spun around. A powerful surge of energy burst forth like a rising tide and struck the men on board sending them flying before a chilly feeling spread all over their bodies freezing them mid-air.

Rui Fei who had been happily messing with Ji Yao let him go immediately and turned around only to be met by a pair of eyes that seemed lit with scarlet flames. Dong Jie\'s robes fluttered with the breeze as he stood among the live statues of the half Nocru he froze in place.

To say Rui Fei was pissed would be an understatement. He was a raging bull seeing red and all he wanted to do was charge forward and tear this man apart. His clenched fists were surrounded by a sinister dark grey fog and within that fog were hints of a chilling aura coming from the keystone currently still in his possession.

A lot had happened that Ji Yao had even forgotten to take it away from him. Ji Yao who was glaring at the Dong Jie suddenly felt a familiar source of energy coming from beside him. When he looked down he saw that Rui Fei was unknowingly absorbing the keystone\'s energy like what the Yinying did before.

Worried about its effects on Rui Fei\'s body he grasped his hand but Rui Fei didn\'t turn to look at him. He was already seeing red with only one thing in mind which was breaking every bone in this bastard\'s body. It was only after Ji Yao pulled him back behind him did Rui Fei manage to regain some of his senses.

"Stop absorbing the power of the keystone. I haven\'t checked the side effects yet," said Ji Yao before drawing out his long flaming sword blazing like a wildfire in the middle of a dry summer heat.

As soon as he saw those flames Dong Jie paused in his tracks with his blood running cold. He couldn\'t help but question himself. Was he wrong? Was Ji Yao not in the limelight because he was weak or for another reason?

While Dong Jie was questioning his decision, Rui Fei withdrew his seraphic energy with his tail wagging while looking at Ji Yao who was standing in front of him defending him like a mama bear.

If Huishe Yue heard this analogy he might truly beat up his nephew not that he would win the fight. The moment you start taking your wife as your mother things won\'t necessarily end well.

"Yao-ge, let me deal with him," said Rui Fei wanting to vent out his pent up frustrations. Since he didn\'t get to enjoy the goods offered earlier he reckoned he might as well let out the extra energy by beating up the person who ruined things for him in the first place.

"Yes Yao-ge, let him face off with me and after I am done with him I will finish you off and put your head on a spike for all to see," replied Dong Jie as a sinister bright light danced at the palm of his hand.

These words spoken were nothing more than a whole lot of bullshitting and Ji Yao was like a bullshit meter effective at detecting bullshit from a mile away that is if he was dealing with everyone else except Rui Fei.

When it came to Rui Fei it was as though he had a veil obscuring his vision. He was blinded by the curtain of love.

It seemed Dong Jie had realised that the introverted scholar who prefered playing with ink and calligraphy brushes was all but a myth. The young master standing in front of him with that flaming sword didn\'t look anything like a weakling.

He was rather a Pheonix disguised as a crow. Dong Jie should have never listened to that Emperor Rui\'s words.. If he survives this he would double the price before handing over the goods.
