Chapter 270 Absence Of Distere's Plot Armor

Allen witnessed Distere in a pitiful state as his body was tied to a stake with firewood placed around the bottom of his feet.

Distere was wearing a noble\'s clothing, but because of his body showing signs of being beaten by others, his clothing was ragged and was in a poor state. His dirty blonde hair became darker due to some dirt that accumulated on his disheveled hair. On the other hand, his clear dark blue eyes showed signs of unwavering will that indicated his hope for survival.

Unfortunately for Distere, he found out that the rope that was used to tie him was restricting both mana and aura in his body. Countless curses were inflicted on his body, making him a lot weaker than before.

It wouldn\'t be farfetched to say that the Faith Family went overboard in dealing with Distere to the point that they treated Distere like a stranger that offended their family instead of the status of a disgraced heir from their family.

Even the royal family and other noble houses wouldn\'t treat their heir that unkindly, which went to show just how devoted the Faith Family was when it came to serving their Goddess. Because of Distere\'s offense towards their Goddess, the Faith Family was ruthless in dealing with him.

Allen knew that such an event was impossible to happen. After all, a protagonist\'s plot armor was nothing to scoff at especially when the protagonist has a system as his golden finger.

So, Allen concluded that the only possibility that Distere couldn\'t get out of this situation of his was none other than the presence of multiple protagonists in one world. That went to say that Allen and his chat group members might have robbed Distere of his plot armor.

Allen with his <Supreme Protagonist> talent should have the strongest plot armor among the members of the chat group and since he was in this world, Distere\'s plot armor was immediately robbed by him.

Because of the absence of Distere\'s plot armor, even his system couldn\'t pull off a deus ex machina to help Distere escape from his current predicament. So Distere\'s pitiful state was also indirectly caused by Allen and his chat group members, and it was something that Allen would prefer to take advantage of.

Since Distere didn\'t have any hole cards left to save himself from his demise, Allen could even tempt Distere to become a member of the chat group in exchange for obtaining the backing of Allen and his chat group members.

And if Distere received the backing of Allen and his chat group members, it was already obvious that they would help Distere in his times of need, especially with his upcoming execution.

So, with that plan in mind, Allen decided that he would use this opportunity to invite Distere into the chat group, which would allow him to complete the first sub-task, which was the most important of all the sub-tasks in the Second Main Task.

If the first sub-task, which was to invite Distere into the chat group, failed, then the rest of the sub-task would immediately be deemed a failure. After all, the Main Task\'s purpose was to invite another member of the chat group, and not completing that requirement was tantamount to failing the entire task.

As Allen was starting to concoct a plan in tempting Distere to join the chat group, Deus and John snapped him out of his thoughts as they alerted him of the group of knights that would preside in Distere\'s execution so that nothing would go wrong.

Those group of knights accompanied a man in his fifties wearing a strange attire that stood out from the group of knights. Allen guessed that the man in his fifties must be Distere\'s executioner considering the amount of importance those knights directed towards him. Not to mention, the old man was holding a bottle filled with flammable liquid which was a dead giveaway that he was the one who would initiate Distere\'s execution.

Allen also noticed that the old man was at High Realm Initial Stage which made that old man the strongest among the group considering the knights were only at Mid Realm Intermediate Stage while a few were at Mid Realm Peak Stage.

That was to say, even if Allen wasn\'t going to help Deus and John, the two of them were more than enough to deal with such a weak group even without John using his authority. But whether they could protect Distere amidst their fight with the executioner and the knights was another story. And whether they could convince Distere to join the chat group after they saved him was also another story.

That was to say, even if Deus and John could deal with those group of knights and the executioner, dealing with Distere\'s safety and inviting Distere into the chat group was beyond what they were capable of. After all, Deus and John weren\'t masters of all trades, unlike Allen.

So Deus and John needed Allen\'s assistance regarding the problems that they couldn\'t solve on their own. And since Allen was well aware of that, he didn\'t make it difficult for John and Deus, as he didn\'t hesitate to help them with this problem.

After all, John and Deus\' failure in completing the sub-task would implicate Allen as well, which was something that Allen didn\'t want to happen. And with Allen\'s assistance, Deus and John were already assured that completing the first sub-task was guaranteed.

So completing the first sub-task was only a matter of time and it couldn\'t fail unless countless Heretic Gods besieged them.

With that in mind, the three of them waited for an opportunity to deal with the group of knights and the executioner as the executioner started his speech that went along the lines of "Why this damn heretic has to die".
