Chapter 763: Risking it All for Some Oil!

What joys of life would one forsake then?

Yun Xiao and the War Princess bantered and laughed together, traversing the icy forests.

Ahead, a snowy mountain crowned with a majestic city of Immortal paths gleamed like a pearl, waiting for them...

▬ι══✧⚰️✧══ι▬

Back in the Six Paths of Reincarnation, the chaos wrought by Zhao Xuanran and the new Six-Eyed Pandemonium was still brewing.

While on the move, Yun Xiao manipulated his body double Moon Fairy, embarking on an adventurous journey!

"I have my true self advancing steadily while my body double takes risks, striving to flourish swiftly in the Samsara Galaxy!"

Since this place was named the Samsara Galaxy, then the Six Paths of Reincarnation world would surely be a pivotal nexus.

To rise here would undoubtedly be of greater significance!

"The Nine Hells, the Primordial Ruins, even the Celestial Court—these places are too small, too confined.

"This Samsara Galaxy is the true vast expanse of the Immortal path, teeming with sects, where countless Immortals and mighty beings emerge one after another!

"With the talents of a Creator Immortal, I have faced some challenges while dominating in the Celestial Court. In this grand celestial realm, one needs more ability, courage, and resolve to take each step carefully, truly securing a foothold at the pinnacle of this world!"

The Dao Realm was vast and boundless!

The worlds Yun Xiao had stepped into before were too small.

Now, from the Taiji Spirit Plane, through the teleportation formation of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, from everything in the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm... Yun Xiao could glimpse the immense scope of this celestial world.

Yun Xiao was a man of intense volition! As a free spirit, he naturally sought a broader world to soar! Between heaven and earth, his heart would also roam freely, and his will boundless! The sky was his to fly and the ocean depths his to explore!

"To truly soar freely across the cosmos, three things are essential! Strength, strength, and more strength!"

And so, Yun Xiao acted, under this guiding thought—

As the Desolation Corps passed the Soul Refining Cauldron on its way to the Gate of Reincarnation, Moon Fairy slipped away quietly.

"Old Kapok, I have something I need to do. Go ahead without me," the trailing Moon Fairy said.

"You\'re in the Third Dao Tribulation. What could you possibly need to do?" Old Kapok was astonished. "Just relieve yourself in mid-air!"

"No, I must maintain my dignity." Moon Fairy, tired of further discussion, made a hasty retreat, slipping away quietly.

Seizing the moment when the Soul Refining Skulltopus was absent, he transformed into a beam of white light and plummeted into the depths of the Soul Refining Cauldron.

SIZZLE! SIZZLE! SIZZLE! The cauldron continued to boil, searing his entire body.

It was less a cauldron and more an endless celestial furnace.

Those of insufficient physical strength would be blasted into oblivion on the spot.

"What grade of desolation is this?" Moon Fairy wondered.

It was certainly more formidable than Naraka!

Moon Fairy tried refining the desolation with the Will of Divine Desolation, and the results were fiercely effective. His body, hungry and desperate, absorbed the energy ravenously.

"Why not use the Immortal Asylum to store it first? It\'s more efficient," the Nian suggested out of the blue.

"Is that possible?" Moon Fairy hadn\'t considered this.

"Weren\'t two of the cells emptied? You could fill them up!" the Nian suggested.

"Yaksha Ancestor, what do you think?" Moon Fairy asked.

"Why ask his opinion? I\'ve told you already, no need for his confirmation!" the Nian said, somewhat exasperated.

"Because you lack credibility," the Yaksha Ancestor chuckled.

Listening to their conversation, Yun Xiao knew it would work. He pulled out the silver Immortal Asylum and used the two unsealed portals at the top to absorb the desolation oil from the Soul Refining Cauldron.

Without trying, he would never know; upon trying, he was astonished!

"It really works, and it feels like a bottomless pit?" Moon Fairy exclaimed in surprise.

"Nonsense, do you know how vast our bodies once were? Larger than this Samsara Galaxy!" the Nian recalled the past with some emotion.

"A coward always boasts of past bravery," the Yaksha Ancestor remarked dryly.

"Screw you," the Nian rolled its eyes.

Moon Fairy\'s focus was entirely on the Immortal Asylum; the more he absorbed, the more astounded he felt.

"Who would have thought this thing could also serve as a spatial artifact? I wonder if it could contain people?" Moon Fairy murmured to himself.

"Idiot, once someone\'s inside, do you think they can come out? Do you think we\'ve been idling all these years?" the Nian scolded.

"So, you\'re suggesting you managed to escape because you were sufficiently weakened?" Moon Fairy quipped.

"Shut your mouth, you impudent brat!" the Nian snapped, clearly irritated.

"Just a pair of eyes left, and still holding onto your pride? Ridiculous," the Yaksha Ancestor sneered.

"Why the hell are you always picking on me?" the Nian bellowed, its temper flaring.

"Because I can\'t stand you. You make noise upstairs all day long; it\'s driving me mad. I dream of killing you every night," the Yaksha Ancestor shot back.

"Come out and fight me then!"

"Let\'s fight!"

Meanwhile, Moon Fairy endured the squabble between the eyes above and eyes below while siphoning vast amounts of desolation from the Soul Refining Cauldron. He tested releasing the oil, finding it conveniently easy since it was not a living being and thus not bound by the confinements of the Immortal Asylum.

Time passed!

Unbeknownst to anyone, the oil level of the Soul Refining Cauldron had significantly dropped!

By taking this risk, Moon Fairy was amassing capital for his future!

At this time, amidst the chaos of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, no one noticed the change in the Soul Refining Cauldron...

And so, Moon Fairy let his guard down. He hesitated, wondering whether to continue? According to his nature, he would drain it dry, but with each breath, the danger increased substantially!

"Should be about half left!"

He eyed the remaining desolate oil, struggling to curb his greed.

"To hell with it, it\'s just a body double. Let\'s be a bit more greedy!"

So, he stayed, continuing to use the Immortal Asylum, absorbing frantically.

Time slipped away unnoticed!

Suddenly, a lethal danger loomed!

Moon Fairy, in a flash of panic, withdrew the Immortal Asylum.

"Adjutant!"

A thunderous explosion sounded by his ear.

In the next instant, a dark silhouette rushed before him, seizing Moon Fairy\'s neck and yanking him out of the Soul Refining Cauldron!

Focusing his eyes, he saw a face before him—beautiful, fierce, and commanding.

It was the Colonel of the Desolation Corps!

Her robust grip on Moon Fairy, as easy as capturing a child, turned his neck beet red. Her brows were furrowed in anger!

Moon Fairy knew she was furious. Looking beyond her, he saw a group of Desolation Corps soldiers, almost all reveling in his misfortune, sneering at him! He had grown too greedy!

In a whirlwind of thought, Moon Fairy scrambled for an excuse.

The Colonel glared at him coldly, her voice icy, "I issued a military order to maintain order outside, and here you are, straying from the group, acting on your own initiative?"

A shiver ran through Moon Fairy!

She hadn\'t noticed the dwindling desolation in the Soul Refining Cauldron!

Her anger was about his going rogue… Realizing this, Moon Fairy quickly responded, "Colonel, I was wrong. I had a flare-up of an old ailment, and the pain was unbearable."

"I think you\'re just spoiled and reckless," the Colonel retorted coldly.

"It\'s not—"

Before Moon Fairy could finish, the Colonel twisted her arm sharply.

Crack!

She snapped his neck in an instant!

"Uh..." Moon Fairy\'s eyes bulged as he looked at her.

Just moments before they had been close, but the moment he crossed her, she broke his neck!

She was merciless!

"Little Fox, aside from your good looks, you\'re nothing. A fool like you might as well be dead." The Colonel gave him a dismissive glance and tossed him aside.

She had no patience for fools! No matter how attractive, back in the camp, continued arrogance threatened her authority.

The military was no place to challenge a superior!

The more favored by the higher-ups, the more they must adhere to rules publicly to avoid giving others a handle against them.

After her remark, she flung Moon Fairy downward!

Suddenly, as he fell, his neck snapped back into place, and his blood-red color slowly returned to a pale hue.

His silver eyes glinted with a ghostly light as he clasped his hands in a salute to the Colonel, "You are right to reprimand me, my lady. It won\'t happen again."

The Colonel was stunned. She glanced at her palm. A grip that could shatter a divine celestial weapon had left him unharmed?

She stared at Moon Fairy\'s neck, utterly astonished.

"Colonel, may I still accompany you back to assess my demonic talents?" Moon Fairy asked.

The Colonel gave him a long look, then suddenly turned and said, "Let\'s go!"

Behind her, the Desolation Corps were dumbfounded. He was let off, just like that? From their perspective, the Colonel had shown mercy!

"I don\'t accept this!"

Voices of anger erupted all around.
