As they got near a specific set of doors he heard loud voices arguing from within.
"The queen said to leave him alone!"
"As soon as he arrived an army appeared above our city! How can you ignore this!"
"Because we are not foolish wnough to believe an otherworlder that barely reached the level of Lesser Archdevil can muster an army!"
He flinched as he figured out what the argument was over and he knew that both were technically correct.
He was not the one who brought the army but he was the reason they attacked.
The queen had a look of fury on her face as she pushed the doors open.
The instant the doors opened the voices inside were silenced and he could see a number of devil women bowing before the queen.
"You would dare to discuss my beloved in such a hostile way?"
One of the women began to shake with fear while a few others went completely stiff.
"My queen... he came to the city and we got attacked! I am concerned for our people... you saw that thing that appeared before the goddess arrived, if not for her we would have been wiped from the map."
She looked disgusted and the queen upon seeing this looked furious.
"You speak as if i would never be capable of defeating such a foe... I will grow stronger to protect my people and my future."
He saw her look back at him with a beautiful smile that made his beart flutter.

The others began to speak up again despite this.
"The largest one was unaffected by your most powerful spell, you even unleashed your ascension to actually break through it but it was immune to the shadow element. Would you try to battle with an element you have not trained with yet?"
The others looked at their partner in shock and he looked at her more closely to remember her in tbe future.
She was a tall and voluptuous devil woman with striking icy blue skin and horns that had a deep amethyst hue.
"I can show her how to kill them..."
They all snapped up to look at him for the first time.
He still had his face covered by shadows and his features hidden but they would know it was him no matter the disguise.
"I am truly sorry for causing those things to show up but they had no intention of attacking your city...at least that\'s my assumption."
He pulled his hood back and let the mana dissipate, the first time they saw his face a few let out involuntary gasps.
For the first time he actually got a strange feeling from the queen as he heard her let out a low growl like an animal which made the women turn their eyes back down.
"I had refined my bloodline, before this I was a child of something called the void which is what gave me my affinity. I suspect it is a higher grade of the same bloodline the queen has."
"Lucretia."
"Huh?"
"My name is Lucretia darling, please dont call me the queen."
She pouted while saying this and it looked so cute that he laughed for a second.
"I believe that Lucretia and I have the same bloodline but mine was a higher order somehow. Everything I have been gaining as rewards has apparently been leading to me becoming something called a void beast."
Another devil from the council looked up with sudden recognition but she quickly turned her gaze back down when Lucretia snarled at her.
"Mercy my queen I apologize! The system notified us about a void beast and that was right before the attack so what makes a void beast so important that it would result in a city wide notification?"
"Ah yeah well I don\'t actually know? I evolved recently and had a vision that showed me-"
While he was about to explain his dream his jaw suddenly locked in place as if frozen.
He panicked and began patting his open jaw before he saw the notification.

It resembled an ever shifting amalgam of things that never quite stuck to one form but the common factor was that there was a black cloak that hid everythingbut a long, whiplike tail and majestic horns.
The cloak never even remained the same as its material shifted between leather, feathers, scales, dark energy, fog and even flowing oil.
This figure lifted gaia by the hair and for a moment the figure took the form of a devil like the world contained.
"Pathetic... you would try to threaten one of mine?"

She was regenerating as he spoke and she flung her arm out to try to push him away.
"I am the ruler of the pantheon! You are in my world and death will follow my rules!"
The entity laughed.

It started as a low chuckle deep in the entities chest before it rose into a shrieking and hysterical noise that could not possibly resemble a laugh but the giant smile betrayed this thought.
This thing was laughing at her.

She began to pull herself back together with more force to punish this being for not respecting her when she suddenly felt immense fear.
The entire being began to grow and become incorporeal, an entity if eyes and teeth with incomprehensible shapes that made her mind burn.

She continued explaining to her council how she planned to help him grow before he went back to the city to defeat the dungeon alone and gain a full set of unique gear.

He was disturbed by the idea that a cosmic being had potentially just visited the world but he quickly forgot his worries as Lucretia began to describe the skills she would be teaching him, she also wished to know what his gear could do so she could teach him skills that had been properly selected.
