Chapter 267 The Invited Witch
Grandiosity most have been the theme Basit gave to the architect. Because it was the only thing that Cuban see.
They were statures of exotic beasts and animals on the walls and even artworks.
Of course, at the higher end of the hall, there was just one seat. However, a better description of it would have been a throne.
After all, it looked like one. It was made of gold, a mineral that had little to no value to demons, and adorned with beautiful decorations.
On either sides of the arm rest were skulls molded after that of great beasts.
Ones that were not of this world.
This hall, Cuban descovered was used to hold balls, and in some cases mini brawls between gladiators for Basit\'s entertainment.
Back then, he would invite friends from far and wide to display his wealth and Garner adoration.
However, in this world, wealth was not a kind of power than was useful without the strength to back it up.
After all, if Basit had been as capable as he was rich, Momoa would have killed him as he did.
Even going as far as to give out his wealth to another.
But such was the way of things.
Cuban believed that if Basit had concentrated more on his cultivation, his life would have seen a different turn of things.
Domani stood by Cuban side.
She was not in provocative dressing as before.
Rather, she had a simple gown with jewelry in all the right places to display her superiority to the rest of the world.
Of course, this simple gown still gave away her prying curves whenever the wind blew, reminding any that looked upon her that she had more than met the eye.
"I thought you said he was here!" Cuban asked.
"It\'s a \'She\' actually," A voice answered as a person materialized out of thin air, introduced by a green puff of smoke.
This person had appeared right on one of the chandeliers.
She sat comfortably on it as she fed on a bowl of worms she had at hand, picked gently with her sharp fingers.
Although she ate the apple, aside a mouth finely decorated by sharp razored teeth, she was practically without a face, nor hair on her head.
Her skin was pinkish and lined with veins at different points. Surprisingly, this did not mean that she was terrible to look at.
Rather, her skin gave a beautiful luster that gave a natural pull if one were to stare too much.
She wore simple clothes, a mixture of black for the top and green below. It was not a blouse.
Rather, she dressed in simple trousers and a hoodie.
If Lenny was here, he would conclude that in both attitude and dressing, she seemed like a teenager in her rebellious stage.
She turned to Cuban still eating her meal.
"So, I heard you were looking for me!"
Cuban stood to his feet. There was an obvious frown on his face.
It was clear that he felt disrespected.
After all, a mere mortal was addressing him from a vantage point.
A junior addressing a senior from above was something any senior would find to be offensive.
Most Demons considered themselves to be higher beings than humans.
After all, humans were weak and they preyed on them.
Cuban was not most demons. He was a tard bit worse.
As a person with royal blooline coursing through his veins, he believed that he was even above other demons.
Seeing a mortal insult him was infuriating.
Cuban stretched a hand at her.
From this distance, he could surely cause some damage to her, by controlling the blood in her veins.
She turned to him, and chuckled a bit.
"Don\'t worry, there is no need to try big guy. I already did my research on you before accepting your invite. Your blood control is useless against the defences of my coven."
She raised her hoodie to reveal her chest. It was not impressive.
However in the center was a tattooed symbol of a red dragon that seemed to have life of its own as it continually chanced after its own tail.
"Really!" Cuban suddenly moved.
He was fast, and it looked as if he had not moved but appeared on the chandelier.
However, that was only because Domani\'s eyes could not keep up with his speed.
He was a Deep level demon with his Aura filling the room.
However just when his claws were to grab her, she teleported once more in a poof of green smoke.
Next, she appeared on the throne he was seating on only moments ago.
Thisade him angry even more and his Aura rushed out of his body like liquid smoke.
It was blood red.
The entire throne room was suddenly filled with it.
*Sniff! Sniff!!*
The Witch gave the attitude of sniff the air, even though she had no nose.
"Wow, it smells like a bloodbath in here. Boooo! I\'m so scared."
The blood Aura rushed for the throne, but before it would reach, she teleported once more.
And everytime she would appear, he would attack.
Cuban\'s frown got deeper and deeper, and GROWLED loudly as his aura not only spread around the room but seemed to become one with the very walls.
The Witch had once more appeared on the throne.
However, this time around, she stood like a cat on the armrest.
The blood Aura suddenly formed a rumbling tornado that seemed to want to swallow the world.
The chandeliers crackled at it and threatened to be pulled from the ceiling.
Items around the room was pulled to it.
Paintings, statues.
They were all pulled to it.
However, she did not move.
Rather, she smiled with her razor blade teeth at his assault, "oh, this is getting really fun..."
