Chapter 27 The Primordial Sisters
"Oh, you\'re all here—fantastic," Sylva said with a warm smile, seeming unsurprised by the newcomers.
One of the women gestured at Arthur, her brows lifting in amusement. "Is he the one?"
"He seems a little lost," another added with a smirk.
"And quite handsome," remarked a third.
Sylva chuckled softly and stepped forward, giving Arthur\'s cheek a playful pinch, jolting him back to reality. "Do you always get dazed whenever you see a beautiful woman?" she teased.
"Not always," Arthur replied, trying to regain his composure. "Only when they\'re as stunning as you."
"You\'ve quite the sweet tongue," a new voice chimed in. "Do you think this \'big sis\' is beautiful?" one of the goddesses asked, leaning forward with a mischievous smile.
Arthur nodded, a blush creeping over his face. "Y-Yes…very much."
"I already like you," she declared with a satisfied grin.
"Alright, enough flirting," Sylva interjected, amused. "Let\'s move on to introductions."
Sylva turned toward the group and spoke, "Everyone, this is Arthur—the soul from another world. His presence here has shifted the doomed future I once saw for Eldora."
One of the goddesses tilted her head curiously. "And what do you see now?"
"Uncertainty," Sylva replied, a hint of awe in her voice. "Where I once saw an inevitable end, I now see only fog. The future is no longer set, and in that lies hope—a chance to reshape fate."
Sylva then turned back to Arthur, smiling kindly. "These are my sisters."
Moving from left to right, she began the introductions.
The first goddess was a radiant figure exuding warmth and vitality. She was dressed in flowing hues of gold, white, and soft green, symbolizing renewal and light. Her figure was maternal, with gentle, inviting curves that radiated comfort and kindness.
Her skin glowed with a youthful vibrance, and her hair cascaded like beams of sunlight, adorned with delicate gemstones that sparkled like morning dew. Her gentle beauty and compassionate gaze held a captivating strength. "This is Amara, the goddess of life."
Next to Amara was a figure of haunting, serene beauty—Kali, the goddess of death. Clad in flowing robes of deep black and muted purples, her presence seemed to absorb light, creating an aura of elegance and mystery. Her tall, slender frame held a refined allure, her midnight-dark hair cascading around her like a shadowy veil.
Her pale, almost translucent skin added to her timeless beauty, evoking a calm dignity that commanded reverence. Her eyes were deep grey with a touch of silver, and her pupils are hourglass-shaped, hinting at the passing of time and the inevitability of death.
Beside her stood Seraphina, the goddess of light. She wore shimmering garments that sparkled like stars, her attire woven with threads of silver and white. Tall and graceful, her figure a delicate blend of strength and softness. Her golden hair framed her face in a soft halo, flowing like rays of the sun, and her skin glowed with an ethereal radiance.
Her eyes were a brilliant gold, with her pupils appearing as radiant, sun-like shapes that seem to pulse with a warm, life-giving light. Her beauty was pure and luminous, like the light of dawn breaking over a dark world.
To her right stood Nyx, the goddess of darkness, dressed in a cloak that seemed to absorb all light around it, a stark contrast to Seraphina. Nyx had an hourglass figure, with striking curves that exuded mystery and allure. Her dark hair fell like cascading shadows around her, and her gaze held the deep secrets of the night.
Her eyes were pitch black, with no visible whites, and her pupils are as dark as the void, drawing in light. Her gaze feels endless, as if looking into an infinite abyss. Her beauty was mesmerizing, evoking both fear and fascination.
Following her was Selene, the goddess of time. She had a timeless beauty, with an elegant, willowy figure that carries a sense of grace and serenity. Her features are ageless, as though she exists beyond the reach of time. She was adorned in a flowing gown of silver and gold, decorated with delicate clockwork patterns and winding spirals that seem to tick with an unseen rhythm.
Her golden pupils, adorned with minute and hour hands, moved continuously, marking the passage of time even in her gaze.
Finally, on the far right stood Nebula, the goddess of space, dressed in a gown that mirrored the cosmos. Stars and galaxies seemed woven into her attire, twinkling like distant worlds. Her figure was tall and statuesque, her curves elegant and majestic, as if embodying the endless expanse of the universe. Her long, dark hair sparkled with constellations, and her beauty held an enchanting mystery.
Her eyes were a dark black, with her pupils resembling a vast starry sky dotted with twinkling stars, as though entire galaxies reside within her gaze.
Arthur\'s jaw went slack. He was in the presence of seven goddesses, each one representing the forces of nature, life, and the cosmos. Did I just spend all the luck from seven lifetimes today? he thought, awestruck.
Nyx, noticing his faraway look, rolled her eyes. "Hey, will you stop getting dazed every few minutes?"
Arthur blinked, regaining his composure. "Sorry… I\'m just… really surprised. And a bit confused."
"Confused?" Nebula tilted her head curiously, her starry eyes focused on him. "Confused about what?"
Arthur blinked, snapping out of his thoughts. "I\'m just… surprised. And confused," he admitted.
"Confused?" Nebula asked, tilting her head with curiosity.
"Well," Arthur began hesitantly, "I always thought you\'d all… be at odds with each other. But here I am, learning you\'re actually sisters."
"Hm? And why would you think that?" Sylva asked, her expression amused.
Arthur gestured between Amara and Kali, then between Seraphina and Nyx. "Well, you\'re each other\'s polar opposites. One of you embodies life, another death; one light, another darkness. Even your followers are often in conflict."
Kali chuckled softly, her voice gentle yet firm. "Why would we hate each other? We balance one another. Life and death are part of a single, endless cycle. No one lives forever, and as one life ends, another begins. An old soul departs, making space for the newborn.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The creation of a new soul is a delicate, lengthy process. If no one ever died, life itself would stagnate."
Seraphina nodded, adding, "And light and darkness share the same relationship. Where there is light, shadows will always follow. We are opposite forces, but our existence is symbiotic."
Arthur listened, their explanations dispelling misconceptions he hadn\'t even realized he held. "That…makes a lot of sense. Then why are your followers always at odds?"
Selene sighed, crossing her arms. "Because humans are often foolish, drawing conclusions without understanding the whole truth. In their eagerness to define everything in terms of good or evil, they often overlook the balance that sustains the world."
Arthur laughed softly, though her bluntness stung a bit. "Harsh, but fair," he admitted. "Humans are a bit quick to judge what they don\'t understand, I guess."
